These vessels are designed to handle streams with high liquid- to-gas ratios and liquid slugs (when specified). The liquid entrainment is normally in mist form or free water flowing along the pipe wall. Bottom section of the vessel act as a sump and can be fitted with automatic draining systems and/or other level controlling devices.
