Provide positive shut off for liquid or gas pipelines. Line blind valves help to reduce operating time of blanking pipelines compared to use of "Slip Plates" or "Goggle Plates". Based on the operating method they are called Non Rigid and Rigid type. For Non Rigid LBV's pipe line flexibily is required to free the swing plate to open or close the valve. Rigid type accomodate the movement required to free the swing plate within the valve, hence pipeline flexibilty is not required.
